BURNHAM FOOTBALL CLUB STATEMENT - IAN GOULD AND THE AGM

Burnham FC has today confirmed that Ian Gould has stepped down as Club Chairman with immediate effect.

It follows a meeting held at The Gore yesterday [Monday] lunchtime, where Gould reluctantly cited that, due to increased work commitments abroad in his role on the Elite ICC Panel of Test Cricket Umpires, he was unable to dedicate the time needed to help steer the club to the Zamaretto Premier Division.

The Club, however, moved expediently at its annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday evening to find a replacement, and is pleased to confirm the appointment of CEO and company director Bob Breen, who will assume his new role on 10 August 2010.

Breen, 63, who has a plethora of business-related grassroots experience, was viewed as a popular choice among members, and was unanimously voted to take on the chairman’s reigns to spearhead the Blues’ 2010/2011 campaign.

In response to Gould’s resignation, Breen said: “I would personally like to thank Ian for what he has done to help profile the Club.

“When he joined the Board last August, the Club was under-achieving. 12 months on, and with the continued support of Malcolm Higton, Burnham Football Club has become a viable proposition for business and one that serves to provide a number of opportunities for local people.  For me personally, I am pleased that Ian still wishes to remain part of our vision in whatever way he can,” he added.

Breen joined the board at Burnham in August 2009, and was soon appointed the Club’s first CEO in a bid to provide a more strategic operational arm to the business.  He becomes only the third Blues’ chairman in 25 years.

RESERVES DRAW LATEST WARM UP

A strong, but unfamiliar reserve side travelled to Uxbridge and drew 1-1 last night.. With both sides having decent chances in the first half - Uxbridge hitting the post once and Burnham hitting the bar three times, it was a surprise that both sides went in at half time goalless. Uxbridge took the lead midway through the second half with a well taken effort, which resulted in Burnham then changing to 4-4-2. This paid dividends when Mark Brereton came on for Jordan Dowdican and scored within 5 minutes cooly slotting the ball into the bottom corner, making his personal tally four in two games. Overall Burnham may have felt they should have won the game, but on reflection it was a decent result.

BLUES YOUTH DEFEAT NEIGHBOURING BLUES

Despite an unconvincing performance Burnham still managed to pull off a 1-0 win thanks to a first half penalty against Marlow last night.  However, with the amount of trialists and new faces all round this performance was to be expected, but the youth team are starting to take shape nicely. POSITIVE START AT THE GORE DESPITE DEFEAT

The Blues showed plenty of promise at The Gore this evening despite suffering a 2-1 defeat to a Wycombe Wanderers side.  The Wanderers went one up on 28 minutes through Lee Weemes only for Burnham to pull level on 32 minutes when a high ball forward was headed into his own net by Leon Johnson giving keeper Steve Arnold no chance.  Early in the second half Stuart Green scored the visitors second goal.  An entertaining evening's football that will give the home support hope for another good season in the coming campaign.

“ARE 3G PITCHES THE WAY FORWARD?” ..... SLOUGH OBERVER

An article of interest picked up on line by the Burnham Lad

An article, written by Patrick Corlett, has appeared in the online version of the Observer, following interviews with Bob and Gary Breen, looking at the feasibility of allowing 3G artificial surfaces at Step 3 and below.

The full text of the article is available at:

http://www.sloughobserver.co.uk/sport/football/articles/2010/05/06/46322-are-3g-pitches-the-way-forward/

It raises some interesting issues for clubs such as Burnham, where there are arguments for and against.  The main argument against is that participation in the FA Cup and the Conference but the advantages in the amount of football which can be played all year round, giving clubs a commercial opportunity to get greater footfall in the ground and into the bar, is very persuasive, given that many Step 3 and below teams do not get big enough gates to justify Conference membership.  The real loss would be the FA Cup.  It also argues that much more junior football could be played on the ground, giving greater community use, without wrecking the pitch for senior football.

Bob and Gary make a very good argument for considering it, although it may put off teams who have ambitions of reaching the Conference and beyond, unless the FA and the leagues can be persuaded to change their rules.

Burnham under 18s extended the unbeaten run to five matches, the last three being wins last night with a 3-2 win at Chalfont St Peter.  Chalfont went one up after 6 minutes before Simeon Gumbs was bought down on 10 minutes to earn a penalty.  Harvey Muddyman took the spot kick, the keeper saved and then Muddyman scored with the loose ball.  On 21 minutes Dan Thomey gave the Blues the lead.  Chalfont scored from the spot on 48 minutes before Gumbs was fouled again in the box on 52 minutes to see the Blues get another go from the penalty spot.  Muddyman beat the keeper to earn the Blues a narrow win.

PLAY OFF FINAL - REACTION TO LAST NIGHT

Chesham United will play Slough Town at The Meadow on Saturday, the winners joining champions Bury Town at the next level.

Last night's match was played in front of a crowd of 541, the biggest crowd since the visit of Aldershot Town a few years ago in the FA Cup.  As I said in the intro in the programme for the match last night you either love or hate the Play Offs, most Burnham followers (and probably Hitchin Town followers) hate them today.  Love or hate they are here to stay and the only way to be sure of promotion is to win the league.

Jamie, Peter and all the staff and players have done superbly well this season in acheiving third spot and a place in the play offs.  Hearty congratulations to all of the team on the progress that has been made.

THE FINAL FEW DAYS OF FOOTBALL

On Saturday, before we embark on Play-Off week, we host Hitchin Town in our last Zamaretto League match of the season here at The Gore. Kick off is 3pm.

This evening Hitchin Town won at Rothwell Town 1-0 giving them 99 points, the same as Bury Town.  With everything to play for we expect a large following to come from Hitchin in the hope that they may win the title on the last day.  Jamie may have some thoughts on that, we are sure he will be looking to put right the 4-0 defeat we suffered at Top Field in mid December.  With all that in mind we will surely get one exciting game of football on Saturday.

The 'Hazlemere' clubhouse bar will be open from 12 noon with the big screen showing Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur from the 12.45pm kick off.

SWINGS AND ROUDABOUTS - THE MIDWEEK REVIEW OF THE MAIN CONTENDERS

It was a good midweek for Burnham thanks to Terry O'Connor scoring early at Chesham United, a win that put us back into second spot.  Despite going a goal down at basement club Barton Rovers leaders Bury Town stayed top with a comfortable 3-1 win.  Hitchin Town dropped back to third, losing 2-1 at home to Soham Town Rangers despite taking an early lead only to see the winning goal for the visitors coming 9 minutes from the end.  Slough Town lost at home 2-1 to Arlesey Town, going 2 down in the first quarter of an hour.  They pulled one back on the half hour but were unable to find the net again.  Sutton Coldfield Town had their home match with Rothwell Town postponed on Monday as did Hitchin Town away to Rothwell on Thursday..

With only 22 days to the last Saturday of league football Bury Town have 8 matches left, Burnham 6, Hitchin Town 9, Chesham United 7, Slough Town 8 and Sutton Coldfield 9.  Rothwell Town have to squeeze 13 matches into that time.

As yet no dates have been published for matches involving teams in contention for the championship or a play off place ie Slough Town away at Bromsgrove Rovers, Sutton Coldfield at home to Rothwell Town and of course last night's postponed match between Rothwell Town and Hitchin Town

BLUES COMPLETE DOUBLE OVER CHESHAM

A goal after less than two minutes play from the lively Terry O'Connor secured three points for Burnham as they narrowly defeated Chesham United 1-0.  The referee hesitated in making a decision on starting the match, after the sterling work put in by the Chesham ground staff, eventually deciding the pitch was playable.  Burnham did pay a price for the hard working win losing Paul Coyne to an injury at half time and having Ross Lafayette sent off 16 minutes from time.  The team did very well on the night to move back into second spot prior to the upcoming Easter fixtures with for long periods of the second half having to defend the slender lead.

Hitchin Town raced into a 3-0 lead, the final score, over Leighton Town, Chesham won 2-0 at Woodford United and Sutton Coldfield Town stayed with the pack with a good 5-2 win at Barton Rovers.  Slough Town did well to come back from a 3-0 deficit which may have been 4-0 if opponents Atherstone Town had not missed a first half penalty to draw 3-3 at Holloways Park despite playing for a long period with only 10 players after defender Yeboah was given his marching orders.

LATE OWN GOAL KEEPS BLUES WINNING RUN GOING - BUT RESERVES WELL BEATEN AT THE GORE

An own goal from Aylesbury United's Ashley James gave Burnham a 2-1 win away at Leighton Town's ground. Stuart Swift had put Burnham ahead on 38 minutes direct from a free kick after new signing Trevor Charlery had been fouled on the edge of the penalty area.   Ryan Bird struck the crossbar and the foot of the post in the first half with headers from corners that if they had gone in would have put a different perspective on the match.  Ex-Burnham player Jon Montgomery equalised on 65 minutes.  The winning goal came in a rather bizarre way on 87 minutes extending the Blues winning run to 10 matches.  Not the performance of the season from the team but credit to Aylesbury who fought from start to finish.

Meanwhile at The Gore a very youthful Reserve side was no match for Hitchin Town. They went down 4-1, Harvey Muddyman scored the goal from the penalty spot.

Burnham dominated tonight's match at Woodford United in the Zamaretto League winning 3-1.  Two early goals from Denis Fenemore plus a second half goal from Terry O'Connor secured the points with the hosts snatching a consolation effort on 88 minutes by substitute Ricky Johnson.  In reality the Blues on chances created should have had double figures in a match played in an almost empty stadium. Burnham included new signing from SYCOB Charlie Hill in the squad.  The Woodford cause was not helped by the dismissal of skipper Aaron Parkinson for kicking out aRyan Bird on 19 minutes when both players were on the ground right in front of the referee.

BURNHAM TO HOST THE REBELS IN MIDWEEK - RESERVES ALSO LOOKING TO BE IN ACTION

On Tuesday evening we entertain neighbours Slough Town here at The Gore in the Zamaretto League.  Both sides have had good season so far, Burnham sitting second with Slough just behind in fourth.  In the first meeting in August at Holloways Park we came out on top with a useful 2-0 victory thanks to goals Rob Saunders and Ryan Bird.  Both Jamie and Steve Bateman have watched each others side in the last week and a keenly contested match is expected.  Kick off is 7.30pm and the 'Hazlemere' sponsored clubhouse will be open from 6pm.

The following evening the Reserves will be hoping to get back into action when Hemel Hempstead Reserves are due at The Gore.  Both sides expected to play last Wednesday at Vauxhall Road but a waterlogged pitch put paid to that.  Kick off for this one is 7.30pm.

ON THE ROAD WITH THE BLUES THIS WEEKEND

Burnham travel into Bedfordshire this weekend to take on Arlesey Town.  The Town were our opening day opponents way back in sunny August when we drew 0-0.  That afternoon saw the unfortunate accident to Town's Jack Nelly who spent time in Wexham Park Hospital.

Currently 12th in the Zamaretto League the hosts have lost the last two home matches, 0-2 to Marlow last Tuesday and 1-4 to Sutton Coldfield Town last Saturday. The will be looking to turn those results round we will have to at our best to avoid any slip ups..

GAMES  TO COME THICK AND FAST AGAIN IN MIDWEEK

The Blues have another busy midweek ahead.  Hopefully we will do better than last midweek when three matches were scheduled and we only managed one and a half with the icy weather that ew endured.

On Tuesday the First Team are at home in the Zamaretto League Division One Midlands when second bottom Barton Rovers visit.  Jamie and his side will be looking to extend the good run of present but Rovers will have different ideas as they fight to get out of the relegation places.  Kick off is 7.30pm.

On Wednesday, touch wood, the Reserves will be back in action with a visit to Hemel Hempstead Town Reserves kick off 7.45pm.

On Thursday evening a match has been re-arranged in the ACYL for the Youth at top of the table Flackwell Heath, kick off 7.30pm.

BLUES TRAVEL TO PLAY 'THE BONES' THIS WEEKEND

Burnham are on the road tomorrow looking to extend the recent good run of form.  Rothwell Town are the opponents, a side we defeated 2-0 at The Gore a few weeks ago.  The hosts have not enjoyed a good run of late so we will have to be at our best so as not to slip up, they had a good start to the season and were early contenders for honours, their run of bad form will not last forever.  The postcode for the ground is NN14 6EZ.

BUSY MIDWEEK - ALL  THREE TEAMS IN ACTION AT THE GORE

Hopefully, weather permitting, all three of our teams will play at The Gore this week.

Tomorrow evening the First Team are in action when Beaconsfield SYCOB are the visitors in the Zamaretto League.  This will be the first time all of our people who left SYCOB in the summer will have met in a football match between the two clubs.  SYCOB lost heavily at home at the weekend when Soham Town Rangers inflicted a 4-0 defeat.  You may be sure that tomorrow it will not be an easy fixture, the visitors will be fired up.

On Wednesday the Reserves take on Hitchin Town Reserves in the Capital League.  This will be the first match for our second string since November.

On Thursday evening the Under 18s play Chesham United Youth in the Allied Counties Youth League.

All three matches kick off at 7.30pm.

BLUES TO HOST THE ROVERS THIS WEEKEND

Bromsgrove Rovers visit The Gore this Saturday for a Zamaretto League fixture.  We played the last match before the 'big freeze' at their place and frankly escaped with a 2-2 draw.  Rovers went in front as early as 4 minutes through Luke Finley before Denis Fenemore equalised on the half hour.  Danny Campbell restored the lead for the hosts on 62 minutes before Jordan Dowdican rescued a point with the last kick of the game.  The Blues knew it had been in a tough old battle that night and will have to be at our very best on Saturday.  Bromsgrove have had a troubled season off of the park, having 10 points deducted for going into administration.

The 'Hazlemere' clubhouse will be open at 12 noon with the Merseyside derby being screened live.

BLUES LOSE AT BIGGLESWADE

Despite taking the lead through Stuart Swift on 70 minutes, Burnham went down 2-1 at Biggleswade Town.  Bobby Dance on 75 minutes and then Glen Lamacraft on 79 secured the points for the hosts on a bitterly cold day and on a pitch that was nort at all helpful to the Blues type of play.

BLUES YOUTH WELL BEATEN BY THE STONES

Burnham under 18s suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of a very good Wealdstone side losing 6-1 at The Gore in the much delayed League Cup tie.  Things were not helped by early injuries to Danny Pilcher and Jordan Quinn.  Three down at the break, thing did not get any better during the second period at the visitors scored another three quick goals.  Burnham did come back into the game a little and were rewarded with a consolation goal from Jordan Richardson late on.

BLUES AT HOME IN MIDWEEK - YOUTH MAKE ATTEMPT TO COMPLETE LEAGUE CUP TIE

On Tuesday evening the Blues are at home to Rothwell Town in the Zamaretto League kick off 7.30pm.  Originally the match was to be played at the beginning of December, the 'Bones' have played four matches since the postponement losing all of them.  The latest defeat came on Saturday, a 3-0 loss at Chesham United.  Jamie will be hoping to pick from a fully fit squad that will be raring to go after the 'comfy' win over Soham last Saturday.

The under 18s will be hoping to get back to football for the first time since mid November when Wealdstone will be the visitors to The Gore on Wednesday evening for an ACYL Cup tie kick off 7.30pm.

Burnham could even afford to miss a penalty as they won 3-0 at home against Soham Town Rangers.  First haf goals from Denis Fennemore and Ryan Bird plus a late effort from Jordan Dowdican gave them the 3 points. Craig O'Connor saw his second half penalty brilliantly stopped by Soham keeper Ian Pledger.

BURNHAM RETURN TO THE GORE        MATCH ON!!!!!!!!!

The Blues return to The Gore this Saturday (hopefully!!) in the Zamaretto League with Soham Town Rangers providing the opposition.  At the end of October both sides fought out a keenly contested 1-1 draw in Suffolk, Ryan Bird opening the score with Soham getting level before the break.  Kick off on Saturday is 3pm.

The last time Soham visited The Gore many years ago as an Eastern Counties League side they raced into a 3-0 lead within 17 minutes in an FA Vase tie.  Thankfully the Blues got their act sorted and ran out 4-3 winners.

BLUES BOW OUT OF COUNTY CUP

Burnham were defeated 4-2 in the County Cup Quarter Final at Thatcham Town tonight.  The Blues first match since the enforced break saw them looking a little rusty at times.  Sam Tucker opened the scoring for the home team on 4 minutes and then Burnham did everything but score after that before half time.  Adam Wallace then extended the Thatcham lead on 51 minutes and Dean Stow made it 3-0 a minute later.  Goals from Stuart Swift on 65 minutes and Ryan Bird on 75 minutes made it for a very interesting last quarter of an hour but Stow put the result beyond doubt when he scored his second on 90 minutes.

With no football for either side for a time, Thatcham last played on New Years Day and Burnham on December 15 the match was highly entertaining stuff.

BURNHAM TO START THE NEW YEAR WITH THE VISIT OF SYCOB

With a year of many changes at Burnham Football Club we look forward to the New Year with more than a little excitement.  This time last year we drew 1-1 at AFC Totton on New Years Day in one of the few matches to survive the big freeze that was around at the time.  This time, albeit on Saturday, we host near neighbours Beaconsfield SYCOB in the opening match of 2010.  The only players likely to feature in the side who appeared on New Years Day 2009 are Ryan Bird, Ben Hudell and Jordan Dowdican.  Dan Willment also played, as we all know he is sometime away as he recovers from surgery.

Amongst the changes at the club we have seen Malcolm Higton move 'upstairs' to the position of President, Ian Gould take over the Chaiman's role, Bob Breen coming in to look after the Commercial and Conference side at the club and finally a complete new football management team in Jamie Jarvis, Peter Scott and Phil Gray.

Kick off on Saturday is 3pm.  With the many connections between the two clubs and SYCOB recently appointing Colin Davis as manager a keen encounter beckons.

The 'Hazlemere' clubhouse will be open from midday with Sky Sports being beamed through the big screen.

DEPLETED BLUES NO MATCH FOR CANARIES

Two goals in each half saw Burnham fall to their first away league defeat of the season.  In the first period Harry Hunt opened the scoring on 17 minutes with Jamie Arlick adding a second just before the half hour.  In the second half Arlick converted from the sput on 57 minutes then Hunt got his second on 63 minutes.  A plus point was the perfomance in the last half hour of Jerome Federico who is on work experience from Wycombe Wanderers.

MIGHTY TEST COMING UP THIS WEEKEND

Burnham take on Hitchin Town this Saturday in the Zamaretto League at 'The Canaries' Top Field ground.  Burnham will be without Paul Brett, Dave Tilbury, Stuart Swift and Ben Hudell who are all serving suspensions although the way Swift hobbled off on Tuesday he probably would not have made the trip anyway.  Will Dunlop is a doubt as well after coming off injured last Saturday and missing the midweek clash with Chesham.  Jamie has confidence in his squad, any tiny blips can be overcome, and by 4.45pm on Saturday it will be back to full strengh bar Dave Tilbury.

Kick off is 3pm, the postcode for the ground is SG5 1NU, and directions are on our 'Away Days' page.

CHAIRMAN ENTERTAINS LOCAL BUSINESS AT LUNCH

Since taking over the Chairman’s reins in July, Ian Gould’s vision for Zamaretto Football League side Burnham is already having an impact and not just on the field. With the Blues tipped for promotion at the end of the season and having already progressed through to the Third Qualifying round of the FA Trophy, Gould, who is one of the World’s elite cricket umpires, is now seeking to mount the same challenge off the pitch to make the Burnham facility a high quality and cost-effective service provider ‘for all’. The Chairman’s words became reality last Saturday when a number of established representatives from the local business community, which included motor group Thames Fiat and national builders’ merchants Grant and Stone, were invited to a special sit down Gourmet lunch at The Gore prior to the Blues’ Zamaretto League fixture against Leighton Town. During the course of the afternoon local entrepreneurs, figureheads and representatives of the media were able to get a real flavour for what is on offer at Burnham by way of experiencing first hand its conferencing and training facilities.

Gould said: “In business, not just in the current economic climate, companies always need to look at their bottom line and how they can make savings without compromising on quality or service. It has always been my goal to make more people see beyond the boundaries and stereo-typical views of a football club. Through Burnham, there is now a cost-effective alternative which can facilitate most companies’ training or conferencing needs in much the same way as a dedicated training venue or hotel suite. Just like what’s happening on the field, we want to engage with the business community more off-the-field to make them see Burnham Conference Centre and Football Club as a viable proposition and a ‘win win’ when it comes to doing better business”.

The Club has also just signed a new deal with Sky television to have live matches (including Barclays Premiership) screened from around the globe, which will come as welcome news to sports enthusiasts who will be able to see The Gore as a one-stop shop.

THAMES FIAT EXTEND SPONSORSHIP DEAL WITH THE BLUES

Forward thinking motoring local franchise dealer Thames Fiat has extended its affiliation with Zamaretto Football League side Burnham to become the Club’s main sponsor for the duration of the 2009/2010 season.

The deal further demonstrates Thames Fiat’s drive to get more people active and involved in sport at the grass roots level.  It is also recognition for the Blues’ own vision for the future under the chairmanship of ICC (International Cricket Council) elite panel umpire Ian Gould.

Sanjay Sobte, Managing Director of Thames Fiat, said: “Having spoken with Ian on several occasions, his goal to make the Burnham facility both accessible and a viable proposition for local business is one that serves to provide a number of opportunities.

“The current success of the Club on the pitch is not only testament to management team and players alike, but Ian’s commitment to take football to the wider community, and supporting a plethora of young people across Slough and the surrounding areas.  We embrace this philosophy at Thames Fiat, and have done for many years,” added Sobte.

In response to Thames Fiat’s continuing investment into Burnham, Blues’ chairman Ian Gould commented: “We are naturally very pleased to align ourselves with such a highly reputable local business and brand in Thames Fiat.

“Since taking over the chairman’s reigns in the summer, it has always been my intention to work closely with our sponsors to develop a sustainable business model that is to the mutual benefit of both parties.

“Through the awareness of the two brands, coupled with the facilities at Burnham, there is a real opportunity to make a difference, and one that I know Thames Fiat is keen to explore,” added Gould.

Club officials and fans of Burnham will now be able to rub shoulders with supporters from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, courtesy of a new business networking tool appropriately titled AtTheMatch.com.

Every week, The Blues, along with over one million other fans across the country, turn out to support their club. However, almost a similar number will testify that they do not know the name of the person they are standing or sitting next to.

Developed by London-based business Inspire, AtTheMatch.com, which is backed by Barclays Premiership goalkeeper Paul Robinson, offers a unique and free online networking platform, which for the very first time, brings the real world of business and football together to The Gore, and encourages fans in south Bucks, and beyond, to support each other, both on and off the pitch.

The user-friendly interface provides the ability for members to interact, post their service offering and promote their business to all other virtual season ticket-holders  across the football spectrum.

Commenting on the unveiling of AtTheMatch.com, Simon Maurer, Founder of Inspire, explains: “As a season ticket holder myself, it soon became evident that many people are unaware of who their fellow supporters are and what they do for a living. All grounds, ranging from the Zamaretto Football League to the Barclays Premiership, provide valuable networking opportunities, but for the majority of match attendees and delegates, the commercial potential for seeking new business has been relatively untapped.”

Maurer adds: “Such is the strength and scope of the opportunity available to Zamaretto Football League clubs, among others, who may find the operational tightrope too difficult to handle at times, they now have far greater access to the business community and football fans alike to help support both their immediate and long-term objectives.”

NEW SPONSORSHIPS FOR THE SOUTHERN LEAGUE

ZAMARETTO LEAGUE - InterContinental Brands (ICB) Ltd has concluded a sponsorship deal with the Southern Football League, which from 1 July 2009 will be known as “The Zamaretto League”.
ICB has a strong track record of supporting sporting endeavours and high profile sports, and particularly football events and Zamaretto (a colourful range of Amarettos for connoisseurs) is the most recent in a string of successful new product launches (notably Vodkat Classic Schnapps and St Helier Pear Cider) from the dynamic Harrogate based independent drinks company.
The Southern League, which consists of 66 teams spread across 3 divisions (each made up of 22 clubs): the Premier Division and two regional divisions (Division One Midlands and Division One South & West), is highly placed in the semiprofessional football pyramid. The League ranges from Truro in the South, Hednesford in the North, Merthyr Tydfil in the West and Bury St. Edmonds in the East and will offer significant awareness benefits for the new Zamaretto brand, whilst continuing ICB’s alignment with football-related advertising. Zamaretto was unveiled as the new sponsor to the member clubs at the League AGM on Saturday 13th June. Richard Luscombe, National Sales Manager for the On Trade, attended the event on behalf of ICB. Ken Turner, League Chairman commented: “We are delighted that ICB has chosen to support the Southern League. Partnerships like these are great news for the profile and future of the semi professional game. We are already finding that we have quite a lot in common with ICB in that we are both enterprising, positive, forward looking organizations and are greatly looking forward to working together in the coming seasons.”

THE RED INSURE CUP - Following an agreement signed with Red Insure Ltd, which will see the company become the preferred insurance broker for Member clubs, the Southern League Cup will be known as the 'Red Insure Cup' for Season 2009/10.
