PLAYER PROFILES 2009-2010
THE MANAGEMENT
Jamie Jarvis (Manager)
Jamie played for many local clubs in his career as a Central Defender/Midfielder including Burnham. Among his other Clubs were Beaconsfield SYCOB, Slough Town, Windsor & Eton, Uxbridge, Maidenhead United, Hayes and Grays Athletic. Took his first managerial role two seasons ago at SYCOB, winning all before him in the first season and earning the club a Plat-Off spot last season.
Peter Scott (Assistant Manager)
Previously at SYCOB as the coach Peter teamed up with Jamie two years ago. A well respected coach he played for Fulham and is involved at Wycombe Wanderers with the College under 19s.
Phil Gray (Team Therapist)
Phil joined the club at the start of the 09-10 season from Beaconsfield SYCOB. Works at Wycombe Wanderers as a Sports Therapist after spending 7 years at the Watford Academy.
Scott Gray (Goalkeeper Coach)
Another addition to the club’s ranks. Scott has recently passed his Level 2 Goalkeeper coaching certificate. A Sports Tutor at West Herts College.
THE PLAYERS
Ryan Bird
Brilliant player, who has come through the youth team ranks. Quickly established himself in the first team. Able to play in any position asked.
Paul Brett
Paul spent 17 years at Burnham making over 600 appearances before moving two seasons ago to play at SYCOB. Player of the Season on many a season Bretty is a welcome returnee to the club.
Trevor Charlery
Joined the club in March 2010 from neighbours Beaconsfield SYCOB. Useful wide player who had been at AFC Hayes previously.
Paul Coyne
Signed in the close season from Windsor & Eton. First joined Windsor in 2005 from Watford where he was a scholar. Spent a season at Marlow before returning last season to Stag Meadow.
Luke Dexter
Young defender was signed from Bracknell Town. Started out at Maidenhead United before being 'loaned' to The Robins.
Jordan Dowdican
Joined the club in September 2007 and quickly progressed through the youth team via the reserves to a place in the first team squad. Has just signed a new contract with "the blues".
Will Dunlop
Big Centre Back who formed a good partnership with Paul Brett at SYCOB after his transfer from Windsor & Eton. Most past Burnham managers had admired Will as a player and would liked to have had him in the back four/five/three.
Denis Fenemore
Signed in November from league rivals Leighton Town where he was the leading goalscorer. Formerly with Barton Rovers and Beaconsfield SYCOB he has become an instant hit at The Gore.
Oli Godwin
Joined ‘The Blues’ at the start of the 09-10 season from SYCOB. Young midfield came through the Beaconsfield PASE scheme after playing for the successful Penn & Tylers Green junior teams before.
Joe Hatcher
Fullback who joined the club from Chesham United. Made his debut against Chesham just days after signing in December 09.
Dan Hicks
Another player who started in the Burnham under 18s. Spent last season at Slough Town before re-joining the club this season. Young defender who has a good future.
Charlie Hill
Transfered from Beaconsfield SYCOB in February 2010. Previous clubs include Uxbridege and AFC Hayes.
Ben Hudell
Signed at the beginning of the 2008-2009 season. Had been playing for Hendon and as a youngster was on the books of Chelsea.
Ross Lafayette
Joined the Blues in January 2010 on a dual registration with Wealdstone. Had spent some time at Aylesbury in the Spartan South Midlands League where he scored 4 goals in 6 appearances. Formerly at Aylesbury United.
Paul McCarthy
Very experienced keeper who has been the played at Bracknell Town, Maidenhead United, Uxbridge and Chesham United.
Chay Morris
Signed in August 2009, young goalkeeper who played for the manager at SYCOB.
Terry O’Connor
Terry is equally comfortable in midfield or at fullback. Spent a short spell at The Gore a couple of season ago before moving to Windsor & Eton. Has also played at Egham Town and his last club SYCOB.
Adrian Sear
The midfielder has joined the club from neighbours SYCOB where he was highly thought of. Player of the season on more than one occasion he was also afforded the accolade of ‘Club Sportsman of the Year’.
Stewart Swift
Terrific character in his second spell at The Gore. The Midfielder has played previously at Uxbridge, SYCOB and Eton Wick
Dave Tilbury
Strong, experienced defender joined the club at the start of this campaign after 8 years at neighbours Windsor & Eton, apart from one season away at Arlesey Town. Was on the books of QPR as a youngster.
